Started in 1997 by J. Chrtek and Z. Skála, these international meetings regularly attract scientists and amateur Hieraciologists from all over the world. Typically, the meetings consist of approx. 30 participants from 8-10 countries. A mixture of scientific presentations, discussion of checklists and herbarium specimens and excursions offer excellent opportunities for (i) exchange of ideas and concepts, (ii) expert support for determination problems in this critical group and (iii) establishing of contacts for new collaborations and joint projects.
