I recently finished my PhD in botany. I am interested in how abiotic and biotic factors affect plant community assembly and diversity. In particular, I am fascinated by plant-pollinator interactions and how they co-evolved as well as their effect on plant populations and communities. I am also interested in plant conservation. Understanding how plant populations are connected genetically and their level of genetic diversity is essential for preservation and restoration of biodiversity, particularly in the case of threatened or endemic species. In my research, I combine state-of-the-art ecological and genetic methods with controlled experiments for answering a broad range of ecological questions.
