Ondřej Vild did his Ph.D. at the Department of Botany and Zoology at Masaryk University. He is interested in changes in forest vegetation in the last decades. He mainly focuses on the role of abandonment of the traditional management, such as coppicing, grazing, and litter raking. Besides, he carries out field experiments to investigate the potential application of the traditional management forms in contemporary nature conservation.
