Summary: |
The law 153/2000 Sb. and international agreements of Czech Republic require an evaluation of possible risks connected with GMO release into the environment. Model experiments will be run in the frame of the project using several model species. Based on the results degree of possible risks will be evaluated. Occurence of weedy species including newly introduced invasive ones, which could hybridize with important GM plants, will be evaluated in selected regions. Using the results, experience of foreignscientific institution and the requirements of appropriate national and international laws a proposal concerning risk assessment for evaluated species will be developed. Also, the way how to monitor possible risks in agro-ekosystem will be proposed. |
