Summary:	The project deals with invasive species of the genus Reynoutria, i.e. R. japonica and R. sachalinensis, and their hybrid R. xbohemica. All of them are widely spread over the area of the Czech Republic and invade mainly riparian and man-made habitats. The representatives of the genus Reynoutria are an excellent model for studying increasing genetic diversity after introduction, selection of new potentially invasive genotypes or evolution of new hybridogenous taxa and the genesis of new genotypes due to presence of two parental taxa and their hybrid at the territory of the Czech Republic. The proposed project examines the pattern of genetic diversity associated with variation in the intensity of generative vs. vegetative reproduction.
