Summary:	The project aim it is to fill the gaps in knowledge of ecology of vegetation on exposed bottoms of storage ponds and fishponds. Českobudějovická basin in South Bohemia was selected as a model area. The focus of the research will be vegetation dynamics of summer-drainaged storage ponds in Hluboká nad Vltavou. The specific use and management of the storage ponds contribute to high spatiotemporal variability of the vegetation. This is impossible on any other habitat. The vegetation dynamics on the summer-drainaged storage ponds was not yet studied. The monitoring will proceed on permanent plots, whose arrangement will cover the variability of the habitat factors. The results of the data analysis will be interpreted in relation to species biology and management of the studied storage ponds and fishponds. The possibility of the generalisation of the results and its applicability to the analogous vegetation types in other regions of the Czech Republic will be discussed.
