Summary:	The goal of this Czech-Russian project is the generation of dormant forms (DF) in selected species of polar prokaryotic cyanobacteria and eukaryotic microalgae. The properties of spore-forming and non-spore-forming cyanobacterial and algal DF produced in the life cycles of these microorganisms or in the result of alkylhydroxybenzenes (AHB) mediated regulation of their formation will be studied with regard to their potential stress resistance.
