Summary: |
The Velký Tisý fishpond is a part of important protected area, where extensive littoral reed stands decreased during several last decades. Controlled fishpond management was proposed to restoration of the reed stands, which includes regular fluctuations of water level and alternating or lowering fish stock without carp. The effect of this management for the period since 1998 was evaluated as regards changes in shoreline position and total reed-bed area, total plant species diversity, and the influence of extraordinary events (floods) on littoral vegetation. |
