Summary: |
The main objective of the project is to propose a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of the
impacts of tourism in the KRNAP area, as a model example of large-scale special protected areas
exposed to increasing recreational pressure. In this exposed and environmentally sensitive area,
available data on forms and intensity of tourism, overall anthropic load will be analysed and their
main spatial, environmental, socio-economic and demographic impacts will be assessed. The
proposed monitoring and evaluation procedure will be summarized in a methodology that will be
generally applicable in other MPAs of the Czech Republic. The synthesizing output of the project
will be a comprehensive typology of the evaluated area in terms of spatial factors of recreational
use, its environmental impacts |
