Summary:	Main aim of this project is an effective restoration and management of priority habits of subalpine grasslands. These important European habitats are currently dying out on a large scale in the Hrubý Jeseník Mts., and the nature conservation authority is urgently looking for an effective solution. Based on a comprehensive research of possible causes, combining an observational and experimental approach, a methodology with measures for short-term restoration will be developed. Using newly obtained data, the long-term use of the subalpine treeless area of the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. will be evaluated and management strategy will be formulated.
