| Summary: | The project aims at the development of vegetation typology of the Czech Republic, based on the national database of vegetation plots and application of formalized, computer-assisted classification methods which have been recently introduced or newly developed by the project team. The new typology will consist of parametrized vegetation units, linked to the traditional phytosociological associations, and will be available online as an expert system for automatic identification of vegetation units. This typology will be based on an extensive analysis of broad-scale variation patterns in Czech vegetation using the methods of multivariate statistical analysis. The project will also include preparation of manuscripts of the monograph Vegetation of the Czech Republic. |
