| Summary: | The project runs between 2016 and 2020 and is supported by the Ministry of Culture. The project focuses on the study of biotic risks that may occur in parks and their surroundings. Our group focus on importance of newly introduced plants and the danger of introducing potential pathogens and if there is a need of potential treatment to prevent invasive species, such as application of fungicides, etc. focus lies on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and sampling of soil in different parks distributed all over the Czech Republic. Additional and intense sampling is done in Průhonice park during establishing of the new Alpine Garden, which will also include different aspects of manipulation experiments (e.g. gradients (water, erosion, human), inoculation) to observe fungal community changes, dispersal etc. under different conditions. |
