Summary:	Aim of the project is cooperation of researchers, university teachers and students in order to form a multidisciplinary scientific team. The aim will be reached by means of assessment of production and extra-production functions of coppices. Main questions are halting the loss of biodiversity and economic alternative of the coppice management. Existing knowledge of coppicing will be merged with knowledge about history, vegetation, woody species ecology and growing procedures in four key activities.
