Petr Pyšek and Jan Pergl from the Institute of Botany, Czech Academy of Sciences are among the seven most cited scientists working in the Czech Republic according to the prestigious Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list. The inclusion of the two invasion ecologists among the top one percent of the world’s most cited scientists confirms that Czech research in invasion ecology is among the world’s top and that the Průhonice research division is a recognized leader in its field.
