Professional specialization: | In the last five years (2019–2024) my main research interests included exploration of factors that determine species invasiveness and habitat invasibility (co-founder and core team member of the of GloNAF database/consortium) and how they interact at the large scale; the role of habitat that species invades following introduction and how they relate to habitats to which it is affilated in the native range (based on SynHab database developed during EXPRO project in 2019-2023); the classification of impacts of invasive species and research in mechanism underlying them; the effect of species traits on invasion, including some that were understudied until short ago; and the importance of invasion stages (casual, naturalized, invasive) in shaping the outcome of invasion process; dynamics and impacts of major plant invaders in Kruger National Park, South Africa. |
