| Professional specialization: | Spatial vegetation analysis and modelling using GIS and remote sensing data, spatially explicit models, forest microclimatic characteristics. My main specialisation is use of LANDIS-II model for forest modelling in Europe. The model is well calibrated for North American species, but implementation of European species and specific processes are lacking (large scale disturbances of monospecific stands as seen in Czechia). I focus on using LANDIS-II results to predict forest microclimate, which can help us understand future forest and forest species dynamics. |
