Become part of the team at a prestigious research organisation
The Institute of Botany, Czech Academy of Sciences has a long history of excellence in botany and ecology. We are located in the centre of Europe, with easy access to many partner institutions and universities. Researchers work internationally with collaborations globally including plant sampling throughout North and South America, Africa, and Asia.
As a research institute with positions largely based on grant funding, we offer the opportunity to focus on research instead of teaching duties, although these can still be pursued with partner universities such as Charles University, University of South Bohemia, or Masaryk University in Brno. We provide the freedom to develop and pursue your own interests such as science communication, public outreach, and more.
We also have beautiful gardens in both Průhonice and Třeboň, a Herbarium, and many other fascinating plant collections for both display and research.
